a sidewalk preacher told me that the rapture was on his way and I was doomed to stick around if I didn't join with his band today.
but I wouldn't mind sir, if you and your kind would just up'n float away, cause if you hate this world so much you don't have to stay.

yeah but me I like it here cause we have our music and our cirque du soleil and all those silly beautiful things you don't have time for
because you would rather be up in the sky for eternity,
yeah but honey floating up there forever it ain't for me.

so go and let the rapture come and take the puritans away,
there'll be more room for art,
more room for people living for today.
yes I see no use for rapture when there is heaven here on EARTH if you can find it, you can hold it every day.
